Streaming video over ChicagoTribune.com

For a newspaper, the Chicago Tribune produces its fair share of a lot of video content. Check out their video archives on YouTube at youtube.com/user/ChicagoTribune/videos and on Facebook at facebook.com/pg/chicagotribune/videos.

But that’s not all. The Tribune edits and posts original video on everything from Illinois’ representation in Washington (chicagotribune.com/news/media/95649003-132.html) to the Bears’ quarterback situation (chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/95696085-132.html). They also include exclusive video clips embedded to accompany some articles of otherwise text content like at Bluemercury founder Barry Beck taking neighborhood approach to luxury beauty, spa service sales” and at chicagotribune.com/business/columnists/reed/ct-biz-net-neutrality-illinois-robert-reed-0121-story.html.

If a picture is worth 1,000 words, that’s about 40 column-inches. I can’t even fathom how many inches it would take to equate to a whole video.
